A very rare 1940 vintage Macallan, this whisky was first bottled in 1977 and now released as part of the distillery’s Fine & Rare series.
Alcoholic strength of 43%.
Color: dark amber
Nose: Heavily burnt clay, dried fruit, vanilla, toffee, light citrus aromas with a floral note
Palate: Peaty with notes of dried fruit, slightly caramel character.
Finish: Wood and smoke on the finish, dry.
